Business Operation Manager

This role is to support global business processes across sales, factories and business unit organizations, with a focus on pricing activities. We are looking for a resourceful team player who is adept at utilizing and integrating data from multiple systems to put together pricing proposals. The candidate should be highly adaptable to changing business needs and possess strong analytical skills. This position is based at our Regional Singapore office.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Build up cost models to provide package cost estimates to Business Units (BU) and factory
  • Maintain and update regularly pricing history database
  • Respond timely to relevant pricing requests in RFQ systems through market benchmarking and profitability analysis
  • Support BU to formulate pricing strategy and take pricing actions to enhance profitability
  • Support critical meetings with internal cross-functional teams on product/package costing
  • Partner with BU, factories and sales to assure an integrated and profit-maximizing approach
  • Responsible for production price maintenance duties, and approving pricing issues in SAP
  • Assist global sales take-or-pay coordination and reconciliation
  • Adhoc analysis of various revenue-related items

Qualifications:

  • BS degree in Engineering
  • Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in the semiconductor industry
  • Demonstrated understanding of semiconductor assembly processes and raw materials
  • Familiarity with SAP system
  • Advanced Excel skills and the ability to manipulate large data set is a must
  • Strategic thinker with a proven ability to translate technical requirements/issues into the business context or vice versa
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written
  • Independent, able to multi-task, and collaborate with cross-functional and cultural groups

Senior Director, Enterprise Applications

The Senior Director, Enterprise Applications is responsible for all aspects of IT for the business areas, including strategy, planning, delivery, and the oversight of business services. The Senior Director will introduce highly innovative solutions and be passionate about user experience and delivering business value. This leader will work in a fast-paced, innovative environment with the stability of working for a global, established, and growing technology company. The scope of this role includes IT systems for all business functional areas globally, including finance, sales, supply chain, legal, HR and procurement. As part of the IT leadership team reporting to the chief information officer (CIO), the Senior Director will ensure the effective implementation and operation of IT systems and related change activities through all stages of the systems lifecycle. The IT solutions and services delivered are key enablers to the overall business strategy and objectives.

The Senior Director, Enterprise Applications will be a core leader in driving technology value throughout Amkor, helping to enable technology and business process efficiency throughout the organization. This role will partner closely with various functional leaders, establishing strong partnerships with these individuals. The current technology environment consists of a portfolio of integrated solutions, including SAP, Salesforce, SuccessFactors, and Agile, among others. The Senior Director will manage a team of dedicated specialists and business partners across multiple geographies while utilizing partners and the corporate IT organization for delivery.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Working with the CIO, IT leadership team and relevant business function executives, contribute to the global IT strategy and IT roadmap
  • Working with other IT leaders in playing an active part in realizing the overall strategic IT architecture vision and goals
  • Develop, review, and maintain a strategy, future activity roadmap and defined set of IT services provided. Oversee the execution of plans and operations with the respective teams to meet the needs of the business
  • Define and deliver the portfolio of projects and services in conjunction with those key business areas including technologies, people, processes, and communications activities. Ensure compliance, regulatory and information security aspects are provided effectively across these key business systems
  • Build an efficient, effective, and high-performing global organization, which is both integrated into the wider IT organization and highly effective among global business functions and regions. Optimize resource allocation to build effective teams and maximize local opportunities while delivering on the global strategies for each business
  • Deliver on the projected road map and strategy to agreed financial capital and operational budgets and targets
  • Promote and drive the continuous improvement of IT processes, policies, and procedures, being sure to drive for improved outcomes and value realization
  • Provide inspiring leadership and management for the teams and be a role model for leadership across the wider IT organization. Develop leadership capabilities and career pathways that build and retain talent in the business
  • Perform all activities in compliance with internal and external requirements and standards
  • Attract, hire, and retain top talent while continuing to develop a deep technical understanding of all SG&A areas

Required Qualifications:

The Sr. Director must be a pragmatic, collaborative leader who can define a clear vision and strategy and mobilize the organization and other resources to deliver. The leader will be delivery-focused and have a track record of helping complex organizations through times of change and transformation, with a balanced approach to risk mitigation and delivery of business outcomes. The Senior Director should be familiar with modern software development methodologies, be able to dive deep and rapidly iterate on new ideas, and partner with business leaders at a global and diverse multinational corporation. The Senior Director will have experience leading teams and building followership in the organization while driving prioritization and focus in a diverse, complex, and highly collaborative work environment that is increasingly global in its scale of integration. The ideal candidate will bring a strong blend of technology and business process acumen, as well as a customer orientation.

  • Ten or more years of experience as a senior IT leader in a global business with scale
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, engineering, science, and/or business management disciplines. An advanced degree would enhance the candidate’s qualifications
  • Experience in a highly complex environment is required; those who have worked in the semi-conductor, technology, or manufacturing industries will be given additional consideration
  • Large-scale strategy, project, and service delivery
  • Driving the implementation of both package solutions and custom development in a complex environment of continual change and transformation
  • Built and managed globally dispersed teams at scale, inclusive of both internal and external resources
  • Having managed teams of at least 100 resources
