Celebrating Our Achievement in Environmental Leadership

We are pleased to share that Amkor has earned a top “A” score for the 2025 CDP (Carbon Disclosure Project) Climate Change and Water Security disclosures. This recognition reflects our leadership in environmental transparency and our actions to manage climate- and water-related impacts across our operations and value chain.

CDP is a global environmental non-profit that operates the world’s leading disclosure system and is widely regarded as the gold standard for corporate environmental reporting.

In 2025, nearly 20,000 companies were scored. Achieving a double “A” score places Amkor among the top 4% of companies worldwide and enhances our reputation with stakeholders, including customers, investors, suppliers, partners, and communities.

We are committed to continually improving our CDP submissions. Our latest submission included information on risk assessments, climate scenario analysis, emissions reduction initiatives, renewable energy use, water management practices, and value chain engagement.

Three Significant Improvements Were Key to Earning CDP’s “A” Score

  • Net-Zero Goal: Amkor set a net-zero greenhouse gas emissions goal for 2050, aligned with climate science and validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). To support this goal, we have developed an implementation strategy that includes:
    • Creating a roadmap to transition to renewable energy by actively implementing measures to increase its use across our operations.
    • Setting clear expectations for suppliers by requiring major suppliers to set science-based targets by 2028 and strengthening supplier engagement through training, workshops, and sharing of best practices.
    • Collaborating closely with a customer to jointly reduce supply chain emissions through supplier assessments, outreach, and capacity-building initiatives.
  • Climate Scenario Analysis (CSA): We completed a robust climate scenario analysis aligned with the Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) framework. This analysis assessed potential climate-related scenarios and identified risks and opportunities, enabling us to enhance mitigation and adaptation strategies and strengthen the resilience of our operations.
  • Increased Emissions Reduction Initiatives: We strengthened our emissions reduction initiatives across multiple Amkor manufacturing sites, particularly by expanding the use of renewable energy through the installation of on-site solar photovoltaic (PV) systems, executing on-site and off-site Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), and securing Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs).

2025 CDP Badge LogoOver the past decade, Amkor has made steady progress on environmental initiatives across its global operations and value chain. In recent years, amid growing stakeholder focus, we strengthened our approach by strategically establishing a corporate responsibility program under the oversight of the executive leadership team. This has enhanced alignment with business priorities, accelerated our progress, and delivered transformative impact across the organization.

This recognition is a testament to our collective efforts and dedication of Amkor teams worldwide, and we are grateful for the collaboration of our customers, suppliers, and partners. Together, let’s continue to drive earth-positive impact for our company, our people, and the planet.
