Bac Ninh Government Visits Amkor Technology Vietnam
On September 12, the Bac Ninh Province, led by the Secretary of the Bac Ninh Provincial Party Committee, Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan, along with the Chairman of the Bac Ninh People’s Committee, Mr. Vuong Quoc Tuan, visited Amkor Technology Vietnam (ATV), the state-of-the-art smart factory with advanced semiconductor assembly and test lines and its training center in Bac Ninh, Vietnam. During the visit, accompanied by many other leaders from the local government, Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan and the group expressed their great interest in Amkor’s technology, products, processes, services, and semiconductor talent development initiatives.
The visit was conducted in a lively and positive atmosphere. Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan congratulated ATV on its successful first shipment last August, commending the company for its well-prepared business operations and management. He further noted that “Well begun is half done” expressing high expectations for ATV’s continued growth in the future.
The Bac Ninh government leadership particularly recognized the excellence of ATV’s production facilities and safety protocols. They praised ATV’s ability to maintain uninterrupted production despite the recent record-breaking super typhoon Yagi and floods caused by heavy rains that severely affected other companies in Vietnam. ATV’s robust production systems, safety measures, and risk management capabilities were highly appreciated.
Moreover, the Bac Ninh leadership acknowledged the importance of ATV’s presence in Vietnam’s semiconductor supply chain and played a key role in ensuring the stable provision of essential infrastructure, mainly electric power.
The delegation from Bac Ninh also expressed gratitude for the successful training of hundreds of semiconductor technicians at the Semiconductor Equipment Training Center in ATV. The Bac Ninh government reaffirmed its commitment to actively support the continuous development of high-quality technical personnel.
ATK President Ji Jong-rip emphasized that “ATV will lead the development of the semiconductor ecosystem in Vietnam and contribute to the country’s semiconductor industry through its talent development programs.” He also extended his gratitude to the Bac Ninh government for their efforts in ensuring the stability of infrastructure and power supply to ATV, especially in light of the recent typhoon that caused damage to neighboring companies.
Through this visit, Bac Ninh province and ATV are expected to continue their close collaboration to promote the growth of the semiconductor industry in Vietnam.
