Amkor Marked Its 25th Anniversary of Being Listed on the Nasdaq
Amkor Technology proudly marked its 55th year in business and 25th anniversary of being listed on the Nasdaq during the August 28 Nasdaq Closing Bell ceremony. In attendance was Amkor’s management, including Founder and Executive Chairman James Kim, and Executive Vice Chairman Susan Kim.
Below is Amkor’s President and CEO, Giel Rutten’s remarks:
“55 years ago, Amkor’s founder, James Kim, pioneered the outsourced semiconductor assembly and test business, anchored on the core values of Reliability and Trust.
Over the past five decades, Amkor has continued to invest in a diversified, large-scale manufacturing base to support a secure and reliable global semiconductor supply chain and has cultivated long-standing partnerships with its customers. With its commitment to R&D and innovation, Amkor built a technology leadership position, providing advanced packaging and test for areas like Artificial Intelligence, Electric Vehicles, 5G and IoT.
The global Amkor team maintains the commitment of our founders to the core values of Reliability and Trust. I thank each of our 30,000 team members worldwide for the hard work and dedication that made this milestone anniversary and achievement possible.
I thank the entire Nasdaq team for hosting us today and for the partnership Nasdaq has provided since our IPO in 1998 to today, as we celebrate our 25th year as a publicly traded company. The past 55 years have been exciting for Amkor, but the best is yet to come.”
