Associate Account Manager (AAM)


Position Summary:

  • Amkor is seeking a qualified individual to join the team in Munich office
  • The Associate Account Manager (AAM) works within a Sales team to support all aspects of day‐to‐day Sales activities with customers. The AAM is the primary contact for customers
  • Part of this position will be to support administrative, accounting and HR activities in support of the German Munich Sales Office. This should be a maximum 50% of the overall job
  • The ideal candidate can work with customers and factories on a daily basis and demonstrates excellent coordination skills

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage all “day‐to‐day” sales activities
  • Help develop the commercial strategy for the respective customer(s) they are responsible for, in particular identifying new opportunities for commercial development (products, services, etc.)
  • Build and manage customer relationships
  • Organize meetings and visits with customers
  • Process RFQs (Requests for Quotation) and provide quotes to customers and maintain the Master Quote (MQ)
  • Follow‐up on and resolve customer payment issues
  • Build regular reports (weekly reports, sales forecasts, etc.)
  • Conduct weekly/monthly analysis of sales and operations indicators (sales performances, the ratio of customer forecasts/customers realized, production‐line fill rates, etc.)
  • Work in close collaboration with the account manager/director, the technical program managers (assembly and test), and the Operations Department – Sales, Business Units and Factories
  • Office Admin duties:
    o Reception (standard calls, mail, deliveries, …)
    o Managing various office duties (Office ‐supplies, ‐maintenance, ‐visitors’ trip, German lease car fleet, Ticket restaurant, Expenses review, Petty cash, Documents archiving, …)
    o Accounting and HR duties

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s Degree in the commercial section
  • The Associate Account Manager (AAM) should be knowledgeable in day‐to‐day Sales activities
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience is required
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate activities with multiple counterparts (internal and external)
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) is required
  • German native language
  • Must be proficient in written and spoken English

Other Requirements:

  • Team player with the ability to mix well in a multicultural environment
  • Must be flexible to work within Europe, USA and Asian business hours
  • Self‐driven and show initiative in the follow‐up of multiple customers relationships
  • Knowledge of SAP, SalesForce, and Agile are beneficial
  • Foreign languages are beneficial but not essential

Type and Amount of Travel:

  • Both European and international ~ 10% travel
