Amkor Technology recently hosted a webinar led by Senior Vice President David McCann, spotlighting the company’s focus on chemical safety and emergency preparedness at its upcoming facility in Peoria, Arizona.

During the session, Amkor emphasized its commitment to transparency, community engagement and protecting public health and the environment.

The presentation outlined comprehensive protocols for material handling, employee training and environmental compliance, along with the goal of becoming the first known PFAS-free assembly and test site for direct materials. It also added that, in collaboration with the Peoria Fire Department, which has toured Amkor’s Global R&D Center in Korea, the Amkor team is incorporating local emergency responders into planning, training and auditing efforts.
