As part of Amkor Technology’s continued commitment to workforce development and community engagement, Azra Baab, Manager of University Relations & Workforce Development, and Samantha Lanoue, Manager of the Business Solutions Group, recently met with students from West-MEC’s Advanced Manufacturing program to introduce them to the exciting world of semiconductor packaging and test.

During the session, students learned about Amkor’s global leadership in advanced packaging and test services, along with the high-tech, well-paying career opportunities that will be available at Amkor Technology Arizona (ATA). The group also watched a “Day in the Life of an Equipment Technician” video, offering a realistic look at the daily work of our talented teams who keep production advancing at the highest levels of precision and innovation.

Students explored product samples to see firsthand the complexity and impact of Amkor’s technology, sparking curiosity and enthusiasm about future careers in the semiconductor industry.

This outreach is part of our broader effort to build awareness, inspire the next generation of engineers and technicians, and strengthen the local talent pipeline—key drivers of success for both Amkor and the growing semiconductor ecosystem in Arizona.

Together, we’re helping shape a future where innovation, education, and opportunity align.
