Giel Rutten

Giel Rutten joined Amkor in 2014 and served as President and Chief Executive Officer from June 2020 through 2025. Mr. Rutten has more than 35 years of experience in the global semiconductor industry. Before joining Amkor, he served as Chief Executive Officer of Ledzworld, an LED technology company, and also served as Senior Vice President for the Business Unit Home at NXP. Mr. Rutten first joined Philips Semiconductors in 1984 and took on various key management positions in the areas of general management, marketing, operations and engineering in Europe, Asia and the United States. Mr. Rutten holds a Master’s degree in Physics and Chemistry from the University of Nijmegen, the Netherlands.
