Amkor is honored that our advanced semiconductor packaging and test campus in Peoria, Arizona has been named the Number One Deal in North America by Site Selection magazine. This recognition reflects the scale and strategic importance of the project, as well as the collaborative effort that made it possible.

The Peoria campus represents a major expansion of Amkor’s U.S. manufacturing footprint. When we announced plans to grow the project from an initial $2 billion investment to $7 billion, we were responding to the accelerating demand for advanced semiconductor packaging and test capabilities and the opportunity to support a stronger domestic supply chain. The project is expected to create approximately 3,000 high-wage jobs with an average annual salary of $90,000.

This is an important milestone not only for Amkor, but also for Arizona’s semiconductor ecosystem. As the state continues to attract world-class investment across the industry, the Peoria campus will play a critical role in helping support customers with advanced packaging and test capabilities located near key manufacturing partners.

A project built around partnership
Projects of this scale depend on strong partnerships, shared vision, and sustained execution. We are grateful to the City of Peoria, Peoria Economic Development, the Arizona Commerce Authority, Greater Phoenix Economic Council, Arizona Public Service, Western Maricopa Education Center, and other regional and state partners for their support and collaboration throughout this process.

Their leadership helped create the conditions for a project that will deliver long-term value for the community and for the semiconductor industry. Together, these partners helped position Peoria as a growing center for advanced manufacturing and innovation.

Supporting the future of U.S. semiconductor manufacturing
Phase One of the Amkor campus is expected to open in 2028, and the facility is anticipated to become one of the largest advanced semiconductor packaging facilities in the world. That scale reflects the importance of advanced packaging to the future of semiconductor performance, resilience, and supply chain continuity.

The project also comes at a pivotal time for U.S. semiconductor manufacturing. With continued national investment in the industry, Amkor is proud to contribute to the growth of domestic capabilities and to help strengthen the broader technology ecosystem.

Looking ahead
The recognition from Site Selection Magazine is a meaningful acknowledgment of what this project represents: long-term investment, high-quality jobs, and a stronger semiconductor future for the United States. For Amkor, it is also a reminder of what is possible when industry, government, and community partners work together toward a shared goal.

We are proud to be building in Peoria and proud to support a project with impact that will extend well beyond the campus itself.
